Red Oaks - Season 1
Description
There seems to be more comedy going through that young man named David Myers, who is 20 years old. David is an ambitious young man who is trying to experience a different experience to enjoy his summer vacation, where he decided to work as a tennis assistant at Red Fox, a predominantly Jewish community in New Jersey. Over time, David tries to figure out what kind of life he is trying to reach by enjoying the summer break and entering the university.

This is a likable ensemble, filled with talented young future stars (Roberts and Turshen especially) and great veterans who don't get enough work, like Reiser and Kind.

The series from David Gordon Green of Eastbound & Down is mildly entertaining, no more and no less.

There are increasingly diminishing returns when it comes to watching a 20-year-old navigate between the push of his own desires and the pull of others' expectations, and David Myers... is too passive and inert to root for.
