Luther - Season 3
Description
Detective John Luther is still battling crime in a third more mysterious season, still fishing in the dirt on Luther, a desperate visit to Gray and Stark Mary, suggesting that Luther killed his wife. However, Gray begins to feel that Stark is out of control in his desire for revenge and trusts in Ripley. Luther discovers Ripley's body and is accused of killing him by Stark and Gray, but during the crossing the police car is attacked and Luther is rescued by Alice Morgan.

Luther presents a problem for drama writers: Heal him and he's less interesting; perpetuate his damage and the show gets repetitive. Luther seems stuck in the latter cycle.

A "season" of Luther feels brief, because it is. After a two-year wait, the whole thing begins and ends this week. But because it wastes none of that time, it also feels like we've been studying this guy for a long time.
