Steven is an American actor born and raised in Newark, NJ. His love for the arts began at the early age of four, in school and church productions.After graduating from Essex Catholic High School (East Orange, NJ), he furthered his education at Wagner College (Staten Island, NY) as a Theater Arts Major and recipient of the Alumni Theater Scholarship. Since then, Steven has performed in a host of theatrical productions and films. Steven recently booked several Co-Star roles. Including episodes on the Investigation Discovery Channel( Evil Lives Here/ Homicide City/ Primal Instinct), a feature film "A Nice Girl Like You" starring Lucy Hale(Pretty Little Liars/Life Sentence), and an episode of the upcoming NBC series "The Village". Huge thanks goes out to his agents Leslie and Gwen at Reel Sisters Talent.Steven is no stranger to the world of directing. His interest was first sparked when several directors, while cast in their projects, began to notice his's keen attention to detail and how his passion for the process of the art stood out among his peers. They began asking for his insight. These opportunities encouraged and motivated him to add one more talent to his roster. His Directorial debut was in Nov 2012 when he directed "I Love You Bunches" a Shashone Lambert Stage Play for Manhattan Repertory Theater's Hurricane Sandy Relief Benefit : A Night of Short Plays and Theatrical Readings. Since then, Steven has directed 6 short plays, 3 short films, 2 Web Series', 2 fashion photo shoots, and co-directed 2 Off-Broadway plays. His ultimate objective in transitioning to directing is to assure that the writer's vision becomes a well executed creation of art. Being an actor first, allows him the opportunity to direct from the inside out. His passion for the work and ability to speak an actors language makes him not only an actors director, but a great director to work with. Steven believes that the beauty of the story lies in the performance quality of the dialogue provided. Steven just added "producer" to his credits as he is in production of his short film "Sordid" under his new production company, Strickland Media Group. He will also direct and star in the film. Steven also teaches his A.C.T.ING (Artistry.Craft.Technique) Class in Newark, NJ.Steven is the Founder/CEO of Strickly Hosting: Event Hosting At Its Best!
