What Ever Happened to Baby Jane
Description
The horror film about Baby Jane is the star of adored children, while her sister Blanche lives under Jane. Both sisters were filmmakers, but their chances were that Blanche was a successful film actress, while Jane was forgotten. One night, Jean the coyote whispered to Blanche at a party, which provoked Blanche to flee with tears. That night, Blanche was paralyzed from waist to tail in a mysterious car accident unofficially blamed on Jane, who was found three days later in a drunken daze. What happens is a wake-up nightmare but the end is more shocking.

Gorgeously atmospheric in both the visuals and the soundtrack, and it's a marathon of high-impact Grand Dame acting.

What so often gets lost about 'Baby Jane' is that it's a real thriller, dark, suspenseful, and intense.

The on-screen fireworks were reportedly fuelled by off-screen hatred, but the chemistry between the stars is unquestionably hair-raising and upped the Gothic stakes to camp shock levels.

The Grand Guignol elements themselves are relatively forced and unconvincing.

A lurid melodrama of hate, revenge and murder, a high-class horror film, in the Hitchcock vein, with virtuoso performances from Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and moments both searing and poignant.
