The Bucket List

Description
Billionaire Edward Cole and mechanic Carter Chambers in a life that looks miserable because of their unexpected illness. Both were met through the cancer that they collected in a single ward in the hospital. After a long period of being in a single room, they decided to leave it and do all the things they wanted to do before dying for that dreaded disease. After their escape, they both became new friends and nothing stopped them in order to achieve what they wanted, and both eventually found pleasure in an unexpected life.

The Bucket List's craft is as impeccable as moviemaking technique and computer tricks can be. But boiled into a formula that is sometimes cloying and sweet, the movie is nonetheless a lazy low-grade product.

A modestly uplifting, and at-times poignant, buddy comedy that manages to make the most of the worst of situations.

The movie is caught in the crossfire of its two missions -- to celebrate the universal things that "really matter" in life (friendship, family) and to celebrate what it means to live like Jack Nicholson.

You get the performances you expect from these two great stars, which lift this story mercifully but marginally above its meager content.
