Description
Jamie, a high school cheerleader rejects Chris when he tells her he loves her by saying she just want to be friends. Disheartened, Chris goes to live in another country where he changes himself to be a playboy. He then returns to his hometown after 10 years, and sees Jamie. He desires to redeem his past be asking her out again, but soon discovers that it is even harder than before.

Not particularly original, Just Friends works largely due to Reynolds' screen charisma and comic timing, but it does work, and works well.

Just Friends is part Farrelly Brothers and part Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, all wrapped together to deliver gross-out gags in bizarrely random and rapid-fire fashion, with zero intent to develop sustainable plot or character.
