Extinction

Description
When the infection has turned most of humanity into frantic creatures, it seems that things will continue to be more frightening in that city. On the other hand, Patrick and Jack Lo, a nine-year-old girl, survived in peace and quiet. There seems to be something very strange between Patrick and Jack because deep hatred keeps them away. When the victim reappears, everyone must perform a different mission where Patrick and Jack must leave all the hatred to protect themselves and the person who appears to be close to them..

Vivas tries to add a family-drama twist to an otherwise standard survival story, but the characters aren't complex enough (and the secrets aren't explosive enough) to elevate this beyond a basic zombie flick.

he thrills are basically relegated to the beginning and the end of the film, but in between, the story manages to craft genuine drama and emotional ties.
